*Tips!
Sprinkle a generous amount of cornstarch or baby powder over the grease stain, allow it to sit for a couple of minutes, then brush the powder off. The powder absorbs the grease and it brushes off with the powder.

Do not soak dark- and light-color fabrics together for long periods of time; this can cause colors to run.

Cut your ironing time by putting a piece of aluminum foil under the ironing board cover. The foil will reflect heat so you're actually ironing from both sides at once.

To prevent new blue jeans from fading, soak your jeans in cold salt water for an hour, then wash in washing machine (inside out) on cold cycle. Note: 2 tablespoons salt per gallon of water.

If you are buying new clothing, it is especially important to get the best quality you can afford. Poor quality garments just won't last no matter how carefully you care for them.
